Can one vehicle be managed by both Maptuner Nano and Maptuner X?

Yes, your vehicles can be controlled by both Maptuner Nano and Maptuner X. This will be handled automatically by MyMaptuner during sync.

No, any tuning license can be used by either Maptuner X or Maptuner Nano.

What do you mean by 'server'?

When we are referring to a server, tuning server or connected library/server tells you where your vehicle is connected. A server contains different tuning files depending on the supplier. One vehicle can only be connected to one server and you have to contact the Maptun team to request a transfer from one server to another.

What do you mean by 'sync'?

Sync is short for synchronization. When you perform a sync your vehicle stays up to date by downloading new files, features and updates from your connected sever to your Maptuner.

How do I identify which Maptuner I have?

If your Maptuner is about the size of a small packet of matches (and features a single button and 2 LEDs) it’s probably a Maptuner from the Nano-series. There are different versions of the Maptuner Nano which can be identified by a label on the device.

There is currently only one Maptuner featuring a large full-color LCD display and that is the Maptuner X (TX2A) in regular and a loan/hire/rental version. If the device is black you have the regular version in hand and if it’s yellow it’s the loan/hire/rental version. If your Maptuner doesn’t feature a display it’s one of the Maptuner Nano-series.

The original Maptuner (also known as Maptuner 1) features a two-row display and three buttons (up, down and OK). If your Maptuner has a display and buttons it’s a Maptuner 1.

Which Maptuner do I need for my vehicle?

Both Maptuner X (TX2A) and Maptuner Nano (NX3A) use the “X-connector” (same shape as a HDMI-connector) that can be used in combination with our cabling for different brands. Maptuner Nano (NB3A) use the BRP- connectors that can be used only for BRP.
